Plumstead Electrical Wholesalers (Pty) Ltd is a family owned business established in 1968 by Mr Sandy Gold to service the needs of the electrical industry in the southern suburbs. It is currently managed by brothers Glenn and Bruce Gold and Mike Davis. The management and staff at Plumstead are committed to offering first class products and service to our clients at the right price.

Our conveniently placed premises contain an extensive of electrical products for the electrical contractor and the D.I.Y enthusiast as well.

The lighting showroom houses comprehensive ranges of domestic, industrial and novelty lighting. This showroom covers an area of 800 square meters. Our D.I.Y section has a comprehensive range of intercoms, access-control and security related products. In recognition of the different needs of the electrical contractor and the man in the street, we established a separate trade counter adjacent to our well stocked cable store and large parking area to facilitate easy loading of bulkier items such as cable drums, bundles of conduit and switch boards.

All our departments i.e. contracting, lighting and D.I.Y have a large well trained staff compliment to assist customers in the making of cost-effective buying decisions. We operate a well-maintained fleet of delivery vehicles that ensure that our local customers obtain products on a continued basis. Besides our counter staff, we have a team of well- trained telesales staff to answer customer queries and take their orders.

Over and above our internal sales staff, we also employ qualified sales representatives who regularly call on our customers to assist with their requirements. Deliveries are free of charge in the Western Cape, and are on a daily basis.

Owing to the specialised needs of the industrial sector we have established a separate branch in Brackenfell to cater for the needs of this sector.

OEW

This branch is known as OKAVANGO ELECTRICAL WHOLESALERS (O.E.W). The branch representative at O.E.W will concentrate his efforts on the contracting, mining, industrial, manufacturing and municipal sectors. These markets can be effectively serviced due to the large range of industrial products held in stock.
